Psychological impact
Disruption: the way of interaction has changed because of quarantine and social distancing and people’s overall lifestyle has to adjust during the pandemic
Revolution: there are significant advancements in the technology and medical fields that pushes people to work more digital and interact through the internet. Even after the pandemic these services will be frequently used and the medical knowledge will be improved on
Impact: the methods of thinking while interacting or doing things will be change, people are trying to think of things to do at home instead of going out to hangout with family and friends

- Increasing rate of suicidal rate
- Impact of quarantine related to covid19
- People tend to focus on their health and family in comparison to leisure and friends
Mid-Way Critique:
After discussing, reflect on what I have from week 3
- Expand on the research
- Start designing layout for each subtopic information
- Begin thinking about the final form of the assignment, and share my ideas during week 4 critique
What to propose for change in the future to ameliorate these negative impacts of covid
- Be more aware of the situation, especially understand the spread of virus
- Frequently interact and communicate with close ones if social interaction is an important factor
- Advancement in modern technology that made many recognize the importance to slow down and take
breaks
- People should pay attention to people around them, and approach if something is not right
- Participate in virtual activities
- Many online services with professionals to help
- Based on similar case on SARS in 2003, quarantine usually increase psychological distress that is
something that cannot be controlled
- Standardized instrument would be enable to a comparison between the psychological
responses to outbreaks of different infectious causes and could be used to monitor symptoms over time
- Public health officials, infectious diseases physicians and psychiatrists and psychologists are constantly working to define the factors that influence the success of quarantine and infection control practices of both disease containment and community recovery
- Professionals are more aware of issue since SARS
- More solutions and improvements have came out
- Virtual public service or social group chats
- People with similar thoughts
Illustrations:
- Apply relaxing visual elements in relation to summarizing the text components
- I began sketching out ideas that reflects on the central message of each sub-topic based on the research prior
- Many components are based on personal experience during the quarantine process
After deciding on the colour scheme and illustrations, I began exploring with the the possibilities between the graphic and text components. Therefore, I began testing the with the typographic structure and layout to organize the design, resulting with simplicity but also eye catching.
Mockups:
Two variations of the bag to show the design in different forms.
Reflection:
My main takeaway from this project was learning to be detail oriented and understanding the importance of design research. It was a time consuming project, especially with the process of brainstorming new and creative illustrations along with the information component. In conclusion, it is my first time interacting with my personal illustrations into a graphic design project, and working with a solid aiming end goal from both fields.
